![]() ![]() In North America, 12 new hotels with 3,812 rooms are on the cards as we speak, of which ten involve sites in the US.Įlsewhere, Westin will grow its presence in Europe by four properties and 1,448 keys, while two new hotels will launch in the Middle East. 18 of these schemes will open in China, incidentally, expanding its footprint in the People’s Republic by 4,617 keys – and with five new properties on the way, Australia is the region’s second fastest growing market. Eyeing development opportunities in APACĪPAC is getting the most attention from Westin on a region-by-region basis, with 29 projects and 7,593 rooms being progressed here at present. As for 2024 and beyond, this is looking much healthier, with 14 new hotels and 4,462 keys already on the books. What’s more, 2022 looks broadly similar – 14 launches and 3,573 new keys are being planned for next year.įor 2023, only three projects with 908 rooms are currently in the works, although we expect more will be announced nearer the time. In 2021, Westin will open 18 properties with 5,381 rooms. We take a closer look at this busy pipeline.
